With the arrival of Christian missionaries,
Christianity developed and spread and more Indians converted
to Christianity. More Churches were constructed and
were associated with people like Sister Alphonsa and
with Mother Mary. Considered sacred these churches are
now place of pilgrimages where fasts are observed and
festivals celebrated.
