Anjuna Beach (Mapusa)
Anjuna Beach, a popular hippy hang out, is located 8 kms west of Mapusa. A flea market, where Tibetan, Kashmiri and Gujarati trinkets and handicrafts are sold, is held here every wednesday.

Chapora & Vagator (Mapusa)
Chapora & Vagator are one of the most beautiful and well known sites along the coastline of Goa. It has the remains of some of the well-maintained Portuguese fort and the estuary of the Chapora River is also there. Much of the inhabited area nestles under a canopy of dense coconut palms.

Terekhol Fort (Mapusa)
On the north bank of river Terekhol, with a church within it's walls, lies the Terekhol Fort. At present it has been converted into a hotel.

Arambol (Mapusa)
Located at a distance of 50 kms from Panjim, Arambol is one of the quitest beaches in Goa; except for sundays when people gather here for picnics. Initially a very primitive place, the beach has developed a little but is far from fully developed.
