India
having seven main mountain ranges is a haven for mountaineers
and trekkers. The Great Himalayan Range in itself houses
many hill stations which are a delight for the people
especially in North India who visit these places to
get relief from the heat and dust of the plains.
Apart from the Great
Himalayan Range, India’s landscape is marked with
ranges like the Aravallis, the Vindhyas, the Sahyadris,
the Nilgiris, the Purvanchal and the Eastern Ghats. These
ranges have small hill stations in them and invite the
tourists from the hot, dusty plains with open arms. |
